A tricolor beagle stands inside a black house outline with the text "SHEP'S PLACE" and "Your Heart Builds Their Home" against a solid blue background.

Shep’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary is dedicated to giving overlooked senior dogs the love, comfort, and dignity they deserve. The sanctuary exclusively accepts senior dogs from animal shelters and rescue organizations that have been unable to find them adoptive homes. By providing these dogs with a safe and loving place to stay, Shep’s Place helps free valuable space within partner shelters and rescues, allowing them to continue saving more dogs in need. Whenever possible, dogs who are social and enjoy the company of other dogs live together in a renovated home rather than a traditional kennel environment. This home-like setting allows them to experience the comfort, companionship, and routine of family life during their golden years. Dedicated staff and volunteers spend time with the dogs every day, providing individualized care, enrichment, companionship, and plenty of love. Walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, socialization, and other activities help keep each dog physically active, mentally engaged, and emotionally fulfilled. Whether a dog is adopted into a loving forever home or remains at Shep’s Place for the rest of their life, every dog receives compassionate care, appropriate medical attention, and the opportunity to enjoy their senior years in a safe, nurturing, home-like environment. At Shep’s Place, every senior dog has a place to feel safe, loved and at home.
