👨&zwj;🚒 The equipment behind every call 👩&zwj;🚒We&rsquo;re raising $300,000 to replace the life-saving breathing equipment used by Grosse Pointe Park firefighters. Our firefighters rely on self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)&mdash;masks, air tanks, and harnesses&mdash;to provide clean, breathable air when they enter smoke-filled, toxic, and oxygen-deficient environments. Our current SCBA equipment is approaching the end of its required service life and is not compatible with equipment used by neighboring mutual-aid departments.Your support will help replace the Department&rsquo;s complete inventory, including 13 harnesses, 26 air tanks, 35 individually fitted masks, and critical rescue and safety equipment. The Grosse Pointe Park Public Safety Foundation helps provide our Public Safety officers with equipment and resources that go beyond what the City&rsquo;s operating budget can fund. They answer every call for us. This is our community&rsquo;s opportunity to answer theirs.
