Support the Islamic Community Center of Gainesville (ICCG)A Masjid Built by the Community, for the Community Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, For more than 40 years, the Islamic Community Center of Gainesville (ICCG) has served as a spiritual home for Muslims in Gainesville. Established in the 1980s, ICCG is the oldest masjid in the city, welcoming generations of students, families, and visitors. Located in the heart of Gainesville and just minutes from the University of Florida, ICCG has long served as a gathering place for prayer, learning, and community. Thousands of people pass by the masjid every day, and many non-Muslims have visited ICCG to learn more about Islam. In many ways, ICCG represents the face of the Muslim community in Gainesville. Unlike many institutions, ICCG has not relied on large donors or family endowments. Instead, it has been built, maintained, and supported by the community itself. Students, families, and local residents have all contributed to sustaining this masjid for decades. Now it is time to build for the future. Alhamdulillah, the community has already completed Phase 1 of the new building project, including architectural planning. We are now preparing to move forward with the next phase of development to expand and improve the masjid so it can serve future generations. Our goal is to build a masjid that will continue to serve:

Students studying at the University of Florida

Families raising the next generation

Community members seeking a place of worship and connection

Visitors who come to learn about Islam

This is your masjid.
