An athlete’s story does not end when the final whistle blows. 4th Quarter Plus Overtime is filming a three-part documentary following the experiences of Kim Johnson, Bailey Johnson, and Sydni Johnson. Through their individual stories, the film explores the realities athletes and their families may face during and after competition, including identity, resilience, mental wellness, career transitions, family support, and the search for purpose beyond sports.Kim and Sydni have completed their portions of filming. Bailey’s filming, along with the documentary’s remaining production and editing, still needs to be completed. 4th Quarter Plus Overtime is working to raise an immediate $5,000 by August 26, 2026, toward the documentary’s remaining $15,000 production balance. Reaching this milestone will help move the film into its next stage and bring the project closer to completion. Once completed, the documentary is intended to support educational screenings and meaningful conversations among athletes, families, coaches, athletic programs, and educational institutions. It will help bring greater visibility to an important part of the athletic experience: preparing athletes not only for competition, but also for the transitions, challenges, and opportunities that exist beyond the game. Your support can help us bring these stories to the audiences who need to hear them. Every contribution moves the documentary closer to completion. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your family, friends, colleagues, and athletic community can also make a meaningful difference. Help us raise $5,000 by August 26 and continue the story beyond the final whistle.
