At HLS Maritime Academy, our mission is to eliminate financial and systemic barriers that prevent young adults from accessing careers in the maritime industry. We deliver high-quality, no-cost training programs that integrate classroom instruction, hands-on working vessel experience, and industry-recognized licensing and certifications. &nbsp; &nbsp;Our goal is to equip underserved and underrepresented individuals, especially those from low-income, minority, veteran, and transitional populations&mdash;with the skills, mentorship, and professional guidance necessary to thrive in the global maritime workforce. We believe that with the right training and opportunity, our students can rise to become future captains, engineers, shipyard leaders, and maritime entrepreneurs.
