🌟 Join us in Creating Change! 🌟 Dear devotees, supporters, well-wishers, The Hindu Educational and Cultural Society of America&rsquo;s (HECSA) Portland Balaji Temple (NW Tirumala) stands as one of the largest temples in the Pacific Northwest, serving thousands of Hindu families across Oregon and Washington. Our 18-acre property purchased for $8M in 2022 and funded primarily by grassroot devotee donations now stands as a beacon of harmony in the city, a pillar supporting and connecting our diverse communities, a place where all festivals are celebrated with full enthusiasm, participation, and recognizing the diverse traditions originating from Bharat. Today, in addition to our traditional Hindu temple space, our vibrant property also has classrooms for lessons in Indian languages, music and dance, event hall space for Vedic ceremonies like Vivaaha and Upanayanam, a commercial Sattvic kitchen that cooks Prasadam for the temple and catering for the local community, office space for lease, as well as a 1300 capacity theater-style auditorium for concerts. We humbly thank our supporters for enabling our growth to this stage. This December 2nd, Tuesday, the Day of Giving, we ask for your support to continue this sacred journey to enable financial sustainability to meet our monthly mortgage obligations and cover essential maintenance and operational costs. Your contribution - whether $25 or $2,500 - directly supports the day-to-day operations that keep our temple doors open.
