Dark &amp; Stormy Nights Film Festival promotes public understanding and appreciation of the cinematic arts, removes economic barriers for independent filmmakers, and advances media literacy, cultural awareness, and creative skills through educational programming, screenings, workshops, lectures, and community engagement.We want to ensure filmmakers of from all socioeconomic backgrounds have the opportunity to attend our festival in order to celebrate their film and have the same networking opportunities and chance to advance their career. We are open to short horror films from all over the globe and provide ground transportation and lodging to all selected films. We ensure the filmmakers have the opportunity to discuss their film with others, provide valuable training workshops, and networking opportunities throughout the event.The festival is also set in a rural community where access to such events are limited or non-existent.
