Florida Ri3D is a student-led robotics organization at the University of Florida focused on engineering, education, and the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) community. Our goal is to bring University of Florida students into the Robot in 3 Days (Ri3D) space by designing, building, programming, and testing a competition-style robot in just three days following the release of each new FIRST Robotics Competition game. Through the project, members gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, electrical systems, software development, rapid prototyping, and project management. Florida Ri3D also aims to contribute useful ideas, designs, and lessons learned to FRC teams as they begin their own build seasons, while showcasing the technical creativity and collaboration of students at the University of Florida. Support for Florida Ri3D helps fund robot components, electronics, manufacturing materials, tools, testing equipment, and other resources needed to make the project possible.
