At Patient Action for Cancer Research Alliance, we are fighting to protect federal funding for cancer research. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is the main federal agency that funds cancer research. NCI is facing new rules and budget pressures from Washington. As a result, fewer cancer research projects will get money this year than ever before. This means fewer new studies, fewer clinical trials, and slower progress toward cures. Together, we can defend the research that saves lives. Money donated to PACR Alliance will help us tell patient stories, educate the public about the impact of federally-funded cancer research, and train those affected by federal cancer research funding to better explain its life-saving impact. Please note that PACR Alliance has filed for expedited review to receive our IRS determination letter. This letter will certify our status as a 501(c)3 public charity. Until we have received our determination letter, donations to PACR Alliance are not considered tax-deductible donations.
