Your gift to the Light Up the Stage Capital Campaign helps replace the outdated lighting system in the Winthrop Performing Arts Center&mdash;a dedicated space where students can learn, create, and perform with confidence. 🎭 Every contribution directly supports our efforts to replace our old incandescent lighting system with new, updated, and energy efficient technology. This upgrade (approximately 105,000 to complete) will provide these outcomes: - Reduced energy use due to energy efficient LED lighting fixtures- Updated current industry standard equipment for students to learn lighting design techniques and practices- Lights that are able to change color without effort, allowing for much more dynamic and artistic lighting design for student performances as well as for our user rentals. This will make the space a much more artistic and theatrical space with the ability to custom design lights for events and activities Together, we can give Winthrop students a stage that matches their talent and hard work.
