We are excited to build upon the strong legacy of service established by our three chapter founders and seven charter members - many of whom are still active members. The Oakland chapter is committed to modeling the true spirit of Christmas throughout the year by making a difference through the gift of giving to Oakland’s children and families. Funds raised through our annual holiday “Party with a Purpose”, benefit families in need through organizations such as Police Activities League (PAL), The Elizabeth House, Lincoln Center, MISSSEY, Inc., Black Cultural Zone Food Distribution, Project Pride, Afro-Play, and the Oakland Fire Department. This fundraiser has enabled us to provide Christmas cheer to hundreds of deserving Oakland families for over 20 years. Our Chapter is an anchor in the community, and our members are committed to the mission of Twelve Days. Beyond the Christmas season, we have an established literacy program at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in West Oakland.
