Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Capital District, Allah subhanahu-wa-ta&#39;ala&nbsp; reminds us that life in this world is temporary, and that one day each of us will return to Him. Among the greatest acts of service a community can provide for one another is ensuring that our brothers and sisters are honored with dignity at the time of their final return to Allah. Our Muslim cemetery, operated by the Janazah Association Of The Capital District,&nbsp;located at &nbsp;2655 Phillips Rd, Castleton-On-Hudson, NY was established so that the Muslims of the Capital District may have a sacred place for burial according to our Islamic traditions. Alḥamdulillāh, it has continues to serve families in their most difficult moments, providing a place of peace, reflection, and remembrance. However, maintaining and operating a cemetery is an ongoing responsibility. We are seeking the support of our community to help cover:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery grounds</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Burial and operational expenses so that services can remain accessible to families in need</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Repayment of the outstanding Qardh Hasanah that was generously extended for the purchase and development of the cemetery land</li></ul>Every contribution&mdash;large or small&mdash;is a&nbsp;sadaqah jarariyah, a continuous charity that benefits the community for generations to come. Each grave prepared, each burial facilitated, and each dua made at this sacred ground will be a source of reward for those who helped establish and sustain it. The Prophet ﷺ said: &quot;When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.&quot; (Muslim) By supporting this cemetery, you are helping provide a service that will benefit countless Muslims long after we are gone.
