🌟 Join us to support El Paso High Q! 🌟Desert Southwest Quiz Bowl Association (DSQBA)&nbsp; is a non-profit organization that was created to support High Q in the greater El Paso region. Our mission is college readiness through academic competition. School financing issues have impacted many extracurricular activities including academic competitions. DSQBA seeks to insure that the academic quiz bowl tradition continues in our area as well as seeks to expand play to other schools in the larger region.&nbsp; El Paso has a 40 year tradition of academic quiz bowl competition known as High Q. Local high schools compete against each other by answering questions on many topics, such as Math, Science, Literature, Social Sciences, History, Fine Arts, Sports and Pop Culture. Teamwork, sportsmanship, research and academic integrity are a few of the many skills students learn that promote college readiness and future success. * Funding supports expansion of High Q into additional regional high schools in far west Texas and Southern and Eastern New Mexico.&nbsp;* Defer costs of hosting tournaments at local high schools.* Providing monetary support for teams traveling to National Competitions.*Student scholarships.
