🌟 Join us to help Kyra represent New Mexico in the National Tournament of Girls State Champions!!! 🌟 Over the last year, long time Learners Chess student, Kyra Gurrola has taken the New Mexico chess scene by storm and firmly established herself as the top girl chess player in New Mexico and one of the very top women players in our state!<ul fr-original-style="margin-left: 20px " style="margin-left: 20px; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">In November of 2024 she won the All-Girls City Championship.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">In the Spring of 2025 she co-directed an all Girls Beginners tournament to help encourage other young girls to get involved with tournament chess.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">In the Spring of 2025 she won the New Mexico All-Girls State Championship!</li></ul>In July of 2025, she&rsquo;ll be traveling to Middleton, Wisconsin to compete in the prestigious 4-day, 6-round event: Ruth Haring National Chess Tournament of Girls State Champions, which will also include an additional opportunity for her to compete in a blitz chess tournament against all state champions regardless of age or gender!
