Dear Supporter, As a like-minded parent, we hope that you have found the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten early literacy challenge fun and beneficial.  In addition to the life-long memories of bonding closely with your children, you have given them a great foundation that will benefit them for a lifetime. If you have interacted with us here at the 1000 Books Foundation, you may not have realized that we are actually a non-profit charitable organization. What does that mean? Well, it means that we have volunteered our time and have challenged over 1,000,000 families to make early literacy a priority for their children. This has all been possible THANKS to generous donations from people like you. A little goes a long way toward fulfilling our mission to promote reading to newborns, infants, and toddlers and to encourage parent and child bonding through reading. That’s why this year, we’re reaching out and asking you to consider a monetary gift to support the 1000 Books Foundation’s Annual Fund. We hope that you and your family have seen firsthand the benefits of reading to your child. There is no greater feeling than watching your child flourish into an avid reader. Please consider helping us share this feeling and joy with even more families. Did you know that the 1000 Books Foundation regularly donates books and journals to the thousands of participating libraries and other non-profits that promote the 1000 Books before Kindergarten early literacy challenge? NOT READY TO DONATE? Most of our success is due to parents like you that tell their friends about the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge.  If you are not ready to donate, please consider sharing our message with your friends and colleagues.
