Al Popilowski was a life long resident and pillar of the New Milford community who had an exceptional knowledge and enormous love of the game of baseball. Some of his fondest memories were made on the baseball field. He was a pitcher for New Milford High School and was a Varsity starter for all four years from 1971-1974. &nbsp;He also spent many years cheering on and supporting his grandson and the New Milford Youth Baseball, Travel and High School teams.&nbsp;His family is proud to award one New Milford High School graduating senior a $1000 &nbsp;scholarship in his memory. &nbsp;The chosen student must be in good standing with the school and rostered on the baseball team during the school year.
