Support the BWUFA Legacy Group Research Fellowship Black Women United for Action Legacy Group established an endowed research fellowship, administered in collaboration with George Washington's Presidential Library in partnership with the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association. The fellowship supports scholars researching Black history from the founding of the United States to the present — including the enslaved experience, its impact on descendants, and the broader contributions of Black Americans to the nation's establishment and growth. It highlights the strength and resilience of enslaved communities in recognition of their ongoing contributions to the history of America. Our founding gift of $100,000 launched this fellowship. Ongoing support from the community sustains its fellows, expands its reach, and keeps this research moving forward for years to come.
