In addition to the annual investments in PCD made by the Village of Hamilton, Town of Hamilton, and Colgate University, support from individual donors is both an important source of operating capital and the clearest demonstration to grant funders that PCD’s work is valued by the community.  Local fundraising increases our capacity to assist the community and can be seen in real outcomes.  We hope you’ll consider making a donation. A sampling of our recent achievements and activities demonstrates what PCD brings to the community: PCD has raised over $8 million in community funding in the past two years on a variety of project initiatives.  Examples include: $2,250,000 NY Forward grant awarded to the Village of Hamilton for downtown revitalization projects $1,850,000 Restore NY grant awarded to the Village of Earlville in the Town of Hamilton to convert an old brick school building into 45 affordable senior housing units. $1,050,000 Restore NY grant awarded to the Town of Hamilton to renovate or reconstruct 6 vacant homes $1,960,000 DOT TAP grant awarded to the Village of Hamilton to enhance alternative transportation methods in the community including trails, sidewalks, and bicycle lanes. $625,000 NYSTAR grant awarded to the PCD to continue operations for The Hub Business Incubator for the next 5 years. $200,000 Microenterprise Grant awarded in conjunction with Madison County to be distributed to startup and expanding small businesses locally.
