THE CAUSERady Children’s Hospital provides lifesaving, state-of-the-art medical care for children throughout the San Diego/Tijuana region regardless of their ability to pay. Carols by Candlelight has helped make that possible for decades. THE HISTORYSteve Vaus founded Carols by Candlelight in 1990 in honor of his sister Alissa who spent her only Christmas on earth in the care of a Children’s Hospital. Since its inception Carols by Candlelight has raised millions of dollars. THE VENUEThe California Center for the Arts, capacity 1508, is a state-of-the-art concert venue renowned for its acoustics. Home to Carols for 25+ years, the stage is decorated with massive Christmas trees, 100s of poinsettia… even falling snow! The San Diego County Prosperity Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, is proud to continue its years-long service as the fiscal sponsor of Carols by Candlelight.
