Dear Friend,  Simoore Grange would like to invite you to partake in our 2024 sponsorship program.  Our membership of over 90 kids (and growing) is made up of local kids from Ventura County who raise and show livestock at our local County Fair.  We would love the opportunity to have you as a sponsor for our Livestock Shows and to help support our Grange kids with the necessary items they will need throughout the year for their projects. What is Simoore Grange?  The Grange, officially named The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, is a fraternal organization in the United States that encourages families to band together to promote the economic and political well-being of the community and agriculture.  This is a unique brand of today’s youth.  They raise animals through a great local non-profit organization called Simoore Grange.  For several months they feed, clean up after, train, bathe and groom their market animals in preparation for the Ventura County Fair in August.  They spend hours each week with their animals.  They are their priority right alongside school, homework, chores, sports, church and family.  Their expenses while raising a project animal includes the cost of the animal, feed, bedding, grooming supplies, show fees and sometimes medical expenses.      It takes many hands and dedication by our club members to support our community and produce great Livestock Shows for our youth to participate in.  These shows allow the local youth who are planning to take their pygmy goats, market goats, lambs, swine and cattle to the Ventura County Fair an opportunity to practice their showmanship skills and gain valuable feedback about the marketability of their animals from the judges.  We have a great time together!  Isn’t that what life is about, to be together, have fun and help one another?!   By having these social but competitive gatherings, we are supporting the local businesses and providing a form of entertainment that is free to the public if one decided to come and watch our youth.    Simoore Grange is hosting 5 Livestock shows this year and is looking for sponsors.  Your name will be announced at the show, will be displayed on a banner in the arenas and have social media exposure.  We love our sponsors to attend the shows and watch our youth.  Our show dates for 2024 are April 20, May 19, June 22 (2 shows) and July 20. As a sponsor, your tax-deductible donation would help cover the cost of the prizes we award at our shows (including 1st place buckles), other show expenses and items our kids will need for their projects throughout the year.  These items may include grooming chutes, scales, clippers, grooming products, water & feed buckets, fair bedding, other items for fair, etc. These shows are not possible without the generous support of local sponsors.  Any support helps to continue our goal of offering these shows to our local youth.   If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We hope this brief summary of our mission, hobby and passion will inspire you to help in the growth and development of the Simoore Grange club. We thank you for your time.Simoore Grange
