The AATI has recently turned 100 in 1923! In order to celebrate, we are launching a capital campaign. The AATI has been dedicated to training Graduate Students and Junior Faculty to better enter the field for numerous years. For at least ten years, the AATI has been organizing workshops and conference sessions aimed at preparing graduate students to become active members of Italian Studies. We have done this through "Dissertations in Progress" sessions, as well as many others conference sessions focusing on publishing in both journals and getting a contract for your first manuscript. We have provided travel grants for graduate students and contingent faculty for a long time, also. This capital campaign is aimed to endow these adventures and add additional opportunities for these two membership sectors including research grants, funding for foundational professional development and networking, and much much more.
