Dear Friend, Every part of EF5 began with love&mdash;and with loss. In August of 2023, our family lost Erika Rose Glownia to fentanyl poisoning. Like so many families across the country, our lives were changed in an instant. The shock, the grief, the unanswered questions&mdash;it was overwhelming. What became clear very quickly was this: families affected by fentanyl loss are often left to carry everything alone. EF5 exists so they don&rsquo;t have to. Today, EF5 works to prevent fentanyl deaths and to walk alongside families through grief and healing&mdash;through harm reduction, direct family support, and our flagship program, tHE ART of Grief. We meet people where they are: in moments of crisis, in community spaces, in grief circles, workshops, and remembrance gatherings. But there is a growing challenge that is limiting how far we can reach. We are in need of a van.
