Hello all, I am currently assisting with a local TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) effort for a small colony of 8 cats in Batavia that are in urgent need of help. These cats have been living in a large pile of discarded wood and other debris on a farmhouse property. Unfortunately, the property owner has recently found several of the cats killed by coyotes. Every day these cats remain where they are, they are at risk. On top of that, the homeowners are also preparing to sell the property and plan to clean up the area which will eliminate the already inadequate shelter these cats have been relying on. Once that happens, they will really have nowhere left to hide or seek protection. I’m working with the homeowner and another good samaritan in town to first get all of these cats spayed and neutered, and then relocate them to a barn placement where they will live safer lives, be cared for, and be protected from predators. I'm asking for donations to help cover the cost of fixing all 8 cats. The cats will be taken to Animal Welfare League in North Aurora, which charges $60 per cat (regardless of gender). This includes spay/neuter surgery, a rabies vaccination, and an ear tip. The total cost for all 8 cats will be approximately $480. Every dollar will help get these cats out of this dangerous situation and one step closer to safety. No donation is too small, and any amount will help move us closer to our goal.
