Your gift to the Emergency Communications Equipment (EmComm) fund helps keep our Islands connected when normal systems fail. Reliable radios and backup power allow neighbors, volunteers, and local responders to share clear information during storms, earthquakes, or outages. Donations support training, radios, antennas, and maintenance for community emergency networks across the San Juan Islands. Together, we strengthen local preparedness and protect our neighborhoods through practical, mutual aid communication tools. We have already raised 2K for one complete radio system, and $600.00 for a Amateur Radio Boot Camp to train more operators. &nbsp;We strive to raise 6K additional funds so that we can have one transceiver for every ferry served island. Multiple operators will share this equipment.&nbsp; These systems will be used for the American Red Cross Disaster Services Net.
