When I called back, the Amish man stated he had 5 Golden Retriever puppies he wanted to surrender. While I found that odd, I was in a huge hurry so I just said ok. I was going to the area to pick up the 11-year-old Pomeranian mill mom, so I told him I would stop and get photos to try and find placement. I went to his farm first <span><a target="_blank"></a></span>on my way to pick up the elderly Pomeranian girl. When I got to the farm, he went and got the puppies, allowing them to run loose. As he and I were chatting, he stated with almost a question, "They look ok to me?" I said yes, they were adorable little puppies. That is when I asked if they just weren't selling. He said they told him they had a skin disease. I was puzzled, so I said, "What do you mean?" Apparently, he had sent them with a broker who transported them to Lancaster. He is a "Shipper". This means he accumulates several different breeds and litters of puppies and ships them out of state. Most likely, he was having a Health certificate done when the vet refused to "pass" them based on a "skin disease." So he transported them back to the farm/breeder. This is URGENT to SAVE THEM!</div><div>So much will have to go into bringing them into rescue, not knowing what we are looking at. There are 2 different types of mandge. Sarcopic and Demodectic.
