We offer a 12-month full charge bookkeeping certification, with future plans to expand to specialization in AP, AR and Payroll. Your contribution helps cover course fees, learning materials, and access to mentors who model accountability in real-world finance.&nbsp; We are not a lecture course. Students report Monday through Friday and work as the accounting department of a simulated small business &mdash; supervised, corrected, and managed the whole way, in the same software small businesses actually run on. It runs like a job, because it is one<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Monday through Friday, for the full length of the program.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Students work directly with the instructor, who acts as their boss for the entire program.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Each student gets their own QuickBooks Online instance, with the instructor holding accountant access &mdash; exactly the arrangement they will have as an employee.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">They handle the real texture of the work. Reading and answering email, chasing down missing supporting documentation, recording and reconciling, closing every month, producing financial statements. Most of the work is ordinary, which is the point.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Time is tracked daily, submitted weekly, and paid biweekly, just like a real job.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">They learn payroll by hand before ever touching a payroll processor, so they understand what the software is doing and can catch it when it is wrong.</li></ul>Who we are training forThe community&#39;s small businesses. A full charge bookkeeper is typically the main &mdash; often the only &mdash; accounting person in a small office, and in many small businesses that same person also serves as office manager and handles HR tasks. Small businesses need one capable, trustworthy person who can run the whole back office. That person is very hard to find.
