Dar-ul-Islah was established as a non-profit religious charity in the nineteen seventiesby the Muslim Society of Bergen County. As a non-profit organization Darul Islahprovides a multitude of religious, educational, social, charitable and interfaith servicesfor the Muslims and the broader community of Bergen County and neighboringcounties in New Jersey. Darul Islah incurs minimal operating expenses where 100% of the Board of Trusteesand Executive Committee members provide their services for free as volunteers. Allcharitable contributions are directly supporting our programs. The following are few ofthe activities provided by Darul Islah: 1) Religious: daily prayer services, Friday, EID and Ramadan prayer services.2) Educational: Sunday School, Hifz Academy, Crescent Academy, Evening School,special needs education and family education3) Social Services: funeral services, religious marriage service, wedding ceremonies,social events services and counselling services4) Interfaith & Outreach: multiple annual interfaith and outreach events during theyear bringing the community together and providing inter-faith education5) Charitable Services: Clothing Drives, Groceries Vouchers, Financial Aid for needy6) Youth & Sports Events: Supporting boys and girls YM 'Young Muslims' social andsports events, table tennis and Taekwondo weekly activities The majority of services are provided for free or at cost.
