Our mission goes beyond adoration; we at Supporting Our Needle Noses (SONNs) are dedicated to creating a nationwide community of sighthound lovers by fundraising and sharing knowledge openly. SONNs was created to bring together supporters, groups and rescues who are interested in working together to share information about Sighthounds and the joys of ownership. We also want to help facilitate easier sharing of resources with groups to increase the number of available adopters across the nation. We want to help link transports, offer support to adopters, make breed needs and idiosyncrasies easier to navigate for new and potential adopters, and much more. By donating through Zeffy, 100% of your donation is given to us! Zeffy does not charge any processing or transaction fees so you can be assured that every cent you donate will come straight to us!Our received donations will be broken down accordingly (and subject to change as we grow and learn where more needs occur!)-50% will go towards supporting sighthound rescue organizations in their transport needs and to help offset this cost for adopters and groups.-40% will be donated directly to different sighthound rescue organizations to use how they need it to support their missions.-10% will be used for our operating costs. We are a 100% volunteer organization but do have to maintain our website, create an amazing event and other small costs that are associated with running our non-profit. None of this money will go to our board or founders at any time.
