Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland's #GivingHopeDay campaign urges our generous donors to continue supporting our mission of developing positive contributors of the society. Every dollar raised through this campaign ensures:<ul><li style="box-sizing:border-box">A safe and positive place for youth to spend their afterschool and summer hours,</li><li style="box-sizing:border-box">Access to caring and supportive staff, volunteers, tutors, and mentors,</li><li style="box-sizing:border-box">Research‐based, proven, and effective programs that help kids and teens achieve academic success, develop good character and citizenship, and enable them to live healthy, active lifestyles.</li></ul>BGCO student‐members prove, year after year that they are capable of achieving incredible things if just granted the opportunity. Help us helps our kids' dreams come true! Fund-A-Need<hr /> $5,000 | Provide 10 teens with a unique travel experience geared towards developing their character and leadership skills. Every year, BGCO aims to send its Keystone Club members to the National teen leadership conference, a three day event. We can’t always do it, but with a gift of $5,000, you can make it possible for 10 teens to attend this conference. It would cover registration, transportation, meals and hotel. $2,500 | Sponsor a field trip! Enable deserving youth the opportunity to see snow for the first time, get inspired by college campus visits, learn from trips to aquariums or zoos, and be rewarded for their hard work. Your gift will make it possible for 35 youth to attend a field trip, all expenses included. $1,500 | Every year, thousands of students set foot on BGCO’s gym floors. The basketball program is a huge attraction, helping get kids from the streets into the Clubs. Your gift tonight will help provide basketball uniforms for up to 45 student-members. Help us get more kids into these clubs! Sponsor a BGCO student-member! Did you know that it costs BGCO nearly $1,000 to provide programs and services to one child per year? Yet, because we serve Oakland families who need us most, our membership fees are a modest $15-$25/year. Instead, we rely on you to help us open the doors to our students. Your gift will help us serve more of the 29,000 Oakland students who do not have a place to go to during the after-school hours. $500 | Provide after school tutoring services for 5 students! Every day, Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland ensures that student-members have access to an adult or teen peer who can assist with homework and/or providing tutoring. $250 | Provides a summer camp experience for 1 student-member! Unfortunately, this is an experience that most of BGCO student members do not have access to. Help us provide this experience to as many kids as possible. $100 | Supporting the fundamentals. Provides 10 students with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of a sport through a sports clinic program. Every dollar counts!
