Beyond The Scars (SWS-BTS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the United States that provides social and emotional support for those impacted by chronic illnesses, such as cancer and heart disease.  Beyond The Scars events and activities are not limited to the person diagnosed, but the caregivers and support team to include significant others, children of all ages, and extended family members. Some of the individuals are in the end stages of their illness or dealing with metastatic disease.  BTS's mission is to -EDUCATE individuals who have faced illness on the importance of community. As well as teach the community how being diagnosed with a chronic disease can impact the entire family physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and, of course, financially. - ADVOCATE for themselves and others on the importance of knowing your options while promoting body positivity and - Always CELEBRATING THE GIFT OF LIFE through Butterfly Moments with others walking similar paths and your loved ones. We have lots of plans for 2024 and could use your help to raise funds for survivors and their caregivers/families!  Our Ultimate goal is to provide as much help financially to those impacted by a chronic illness (survivor/caregiver/children/significant others). This is where you come in!
