Our MissionAs a ministry of First Baptist Church Marble Falls, FBCDC exists to serve children and families throughout the Highland Lakes area by providing a Christ-centered early learning environment where children are nurtured, guided, and encouraged to grow in every area of their lives. We believe children should see Christ reflected in the people, relationships, and experiences that surround them. Every day, our teachers and staff have the privilege of helping children grow physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually—while developing a deeply rooted love for learning and, most importantly, a love for knowing Jesus Christ. This is so much more than child care. It is an opportunity to invest in the lives of children and families and help lay a foundation that can last a lifetime. Our Fundraising PrioritiesThis year, our fundraising efforts will focus on three important areas:1. Scholarships — Giving Every Child the Opportunity to BelongWe currently provide full or partial scholarships to approximately 25 children whose families need assistance accessing quality, Christ-centered child care. Some families do not qualify for state assistance, while others are waiting for assistance to become available.Your generosity helps ensure that financial circumstances do not stand in the way of a child receiving the care, education, encouragement, and nurturing environment they need to thrive.2. Staff Training & Development — Investing in Those Who Invest in Our ChildrenOur teachers and staff are at the heart of everything we do. Investing in them is an investment in every child who walks through our doors. We want to continue providing meaningful professional training, development, and educational opportunities that equip our team to grow as educators and provide the very best care and learning experiences for the children entrusted to us.3. Playground Improvements — Creating Safe Places to Learn & PlayOur toddler playground equipment has served our little ones well, but it is showing its age and is in need of replacement.Funds raised will help us create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate outdoor space where our youngest children can explore, play, learn, and grow.
