The notion that a man’s family should be foremost concern is expressed in 1 Timothy 5:8 (KJV, 1611) "But if any provide not for his owne, & specially for those of his owne house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse then an infidel" My name is Denise Etienne Shackelford, and I am the CEO of Giving Hearts Client Choice Pantry. A Client Choice Pantry module allows the customer to come into a grocery store atmosphere and select what they and their family would like to eat. (Not something we hand them in a box). In our Client Choice Pantry alone, we went from supporting 63 families (Feb 2023) ;to over 1000 (February 2024).  We have been blessed to find local retail support, other Food Bank sources, company and church specific food donations. We have been blessed this year to be GIVEN a BOX TRUCK, Received two new refrigerators from Whirlpool, and received a $35,000 Equipment Grant from the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Those funds (specific to equipment only) allowed us to do the following:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Do all Truck Repairs</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Purchase much needed shelving</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Purchase bags & Supplies</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Purchase an installation of a walk in Refrigerated/Freezer ($28K)</li></ul>The Blessings we have been bestowed have been phenomenal. We have grown and expanded so much that we have outgrown our current location. We are in the process of looking for a new home- Our must move date is approaching (September 13, 2024).We seek missions work supporting those outside our own neighbors and community- when we have equal if not more need in our own Backdoor The purpose of this communication is to reach out to those of you who are ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS of our Community.
