After losing her job during the pandemic, she’s struggled to make ends meet. "Sometimes, I stay up at night worrying if tomorrow we’ll have enough food for dinner," she admits with tear-filled eyes. Her youngest, a five-year-old child, doesn't fully understand why there’s no food on the table some days. He just knows he goes to bed hungry, clutching his belly, hoping tomorrow will be different.Sadly, this story is not unique. In the Bronx, nearly 1 in 4 residents faces food insecurity. That's thousands of people—mothers, fathers, children, and seniors—living in a constant state of hunger and uncertainty.But here’s the hope: You can be the reason someone doesn’t have to skip another meal.
