Flour for Gaza: Help Families Make Their Daily Bread The requests keep coming: families in Gaza asking for help purchasing flour so they can make bread for their children.Flour is currently available and relatively affordable, according to the families reaching out to us. But even basic staples remain beyond the reach of people who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and savings. Amal Relief and Renewal Foundation is raising funds to purchase flour for Palestinian families in Gaza. We need your help to act while supplies are available.Food assistance is shrinking. Hunger persists. The World Food Programme reports that approximately 1.4 million people in Gaza—two-thirds of the population—face crisis levels of acute food insecurity or worse. Funding shortages have forced WFP to reduce assistance by around one-third, leaving approximately 500,000 people without its support. Families still receiving assistance now receive fewer food parcels and smaller bags of flour.Restrictions on food entry and delays at crossings continue to limit supplies. OCHA reports that monthly food parcels and flour distributions cover only about half of minimum caloric needs. Its October reporting cites a WFP survey in which 44% of households had gone to bed hungry at least once during the preceding month. These figures reflect what we hear directly: families need help securing food, including the flour they depend on for daily bread. What your donation will supportFunds raised through this campaign will support the purchase and distribution of flour to families in Gaza.
