For nearly two years, Citizens Alliance for Government Integrity (CAGI) has fought to enforce York County&rsquo;s own zoning laws. We took the issue to the Circuit Court, the appellate courts, and finally the South Carolina Supreme Court. After two full years of litigation, we still have not had a single day in court where a judge reviewed the facts. Meanwhile, Silfab went from having&nbsp;no permits, to securing&nbsp;all permits, to receiving a&nbsp;full Certificate of Occupancy&nbsp;&mdash; all while we waited for basic judicial review. This was a clear denial of due process to thousands of South Carolina citizens who simply wanted their local zoning laws enforced and their families protected. This case is now about much more than one factory in Fort Mill. It is about restoring the rule of law and meaningful judicial review in South Carolina. When the highest court in our state refuses to hear legitimate complaints from its own citizens about clear violations of zoning law and government overreach, everyday South Carolinians lose faith in the entire system. We need&nbsp;judicial reform&nbsp;in South Carolina &mdash; and this petition to the United States Supreme Court is a critical step toward getting it.
