Help turn a job offer into a first day of work. A mother of two was unemployed and without stable housing when she secured a high-wage job that offered a real path toward stability and self-sufficiency. She could not start without the boots and shirt required by her employer. Bros Foundation provided both. She started work. That is the purpose of Fund the Next Step, a campaign of the Bros Workforce Mobility Initiative. For people rebuilding, a job offer can still fall apart over the cost of a bus pass, work shoes or boots, required clothing, valid state ID or a certified birth certificate. These are practical barriers, but the consequences of leaving them unresolved are significant. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help remove job-start barriers for an estimated 80 to 120 people in Central Indiana. The number served will depend on the type and level of support each person needs.
