We are devastated to say that on April 4th 2026 Kai Hrubovcak-Mul&eacute; passed away. Kia was a vibrant person. As a cosmetologist, and owner of Curl up and Dye, Kai was able to bring their powerful and bright personality to their work and share it with the world. Kai was a power house of passion with a vision of what the world could and should be. They changed everyone they met. Kai was determined to be the change, always choosing action and speaking out, even when truth was hard. They were a passionate birthworker who sought not only knowledge but mastery in their skills. Kai was completing their hours for their International Board Certified Lactation consultant &nbsp;(IBCLC) completion, the gold standard of excellence. A midwife apprentice and milk jewelry maker, Kai made love tangible. In their private life Kai was a wife, partner, friend and most importantly &ldquo;Momma&rdquo;. David and Kai married in 2016, and they have five beautiful children. Three here with David, and two joined now by Kai. So many people have been touched by the generosity and love Kai exuded. Some people face to face through lactation support, and others who never knew that without Kai their care would not be possible. It was Kai who brought a truck of supplies and donations to midwives out of state after a natural disaster. Now, we must come together and provide for those left behind. Kai&rsquo;s family needs an outpouring of tangible love.
