Greetings to all my friends and fellow Husky lovers&mdash; YES&hellip; it&rsquo;s that time again. Another birthday, and once again a fundraiser. Because YES&mdash;we have been pulling, rescuing, and caring for Huskies who otherwise would not have had a chance. And we&rsquo;re not slowing down. This year, I&rsquo;m asking for your help to continue this lifesaving work. So please donate&mdash;any amount truly helps and do share this fundraiser with friends and family. DAISY failing at the shelter. &nbsp;Staff noted skin issues, but that was only the beginning. &nbsp;We got her to a foster home where she collapsed and couldn&rsquo;t get up. Rushed to emergency vet, where we learned she was also battling aspirational pneumonia and in very poor overall condition. After an emergency stay, Daisy is finally on the road to recovery, receiving treatment for her many medical needs. A dedicated NorSled volunteer drove round trip all the way to Bakersfield the next day - his condition was just that heartbreaking. And this is a baby &mdash; no more than 9&ndash;10 months old. The harness became more painfully embedded in his body as he grew, causing significant wounds. She was at a Central Valley shelter; I got her immediately. After spending the night at VEG, Maybeck has begun her road to recovery. She is being treated for aspirational pneumonia and will soon be groomed, finally getting some relief from all she has endured. &nbsp;In over 30 years of rescuing huskies, I have never seen one in such devastating condition at just 15&ndash;18 months old.
