Gary Storm Community Wellness &amp; Relief Effort On August 11, 2026, a devastating derecho swept through Northwest Indiana, leaving widespread power outages, property damage, food loss, and many residents without access to basic necessities. SanPhil Legacy Foundation is responding on the ground in Gary, helping identify and address unmet needs&mdash;particularly among seniors, people with disabilities, homebound residents, shelters, and others who may have difficulty accessing centralized relief resources.
