💚 Supporting Jennifer Chung, Special Education Teacher at Walnut Grove ES 💚 The Dragon community is coming together to support Jennifer Chung, a Special Education Teacher at Walnut Grove Elementary, as she navigates an unimaginable and deeply painful loss. This space is simply a way for friends, colleagues, and families to surround her with compassion. “My beloved husband, Charles Chung (Chuck) suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, Sept. 19th, 2026. He was the best husband and dad we could ever ask for and the rock of our family. He always took such good care of our family and others around him. He loved big and was loved big by everyone who knew him. Chuck was always so happy, kind, humble, loving, funny, witty, hardworking, and a friend to all. I often told him how he had a growing fan club everywhere he went because of his charming and magnetic personality. Life will never be the same without him but we are so thankful for having had him in our lives. It was an honor to have him as my husband and best friend. He loved God and faithfully served others joyfully. We are truly blessed and so thankful to everyone for all your prayers, love, and support for our family during this very difficult and painful time.” This fundraiser is not about asking for anything — it is simply an opportunity for the Southlake and Walnut Grove communities to show love and support as Jennifer and her family face life without Chuck. Messages, prayers, and gestures of kindness help remind her that she is not walking through this season alone. Dragons Care exists to ensure that no staff member carries hardship without community beside them. . This is a Level 4 grant with a guaranteed minimum goal of $2,000. Every single dollar you give—even beyond the goal—goes directly to the grant recipient. ***You can change the tip to 0% when donating.
