Matthew recently graduated from Texas Tech University with his masters degree, which made his whole Red Raider family proud.Matthew loved life as much as he loved sports. Many of his teammates are playing on MLB teams throughout the country, and he was so proud to have worked and trained alongside them in Southlake.On August 25, 2026, Matthew lost his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family. We continue to rely on our faith to carry us through.&rdquo; This Dragons Care campaign is simply a space for friends, neighbors, teammates, and the broader Southlake community to surround the Mitchell family with compassion.
