Most recently, when the SNAP pause placed a painful and unexpected burden on our most vulnerable residents, the community responded with compassion that was nothing short of extraordinary. You filled hearts and bellies, showing our neighbors that they were not alone.Because of you, residents received rides to stores, thoughtful strategy sessions, financial assistance, gift cards, canned goods, and amazing made from scratch Thanksgiving meals. Support came from businesses, nonprofits, families, Foundations, the Town of Jamestown&mdash;and perhaps most moving of all, from residents caring for one another in deeply meaningful ways. It was a powerful reminder that our community is at its best when we come together.Behind the scenes, Friends of Jamestown Housing (FJH) has been working diligently to elevate the quality of life for low-income residents. We are continuing to support vital programs, advocate for affordable housing solutions, and collaborate with local partners to turn big ideas into real progress. There is much to celebrate&mdash;but also so much more to do. The need for affordable housing in Jamestown continues to grow. We remain committed to ensuring that the affordable units we have today are safe, modern, and supportive for our low-income seniors, and that they continue to serve the community for generations. Just as importantly, we believe that housing must come with a strong foundation of care&mdash;programs, services, and connections that help our residents thrive, not just get by.
