GO FOR THE ANIMALS 26 miles. One RowYak. Two people. Over eighty billion reasons to do this.In late November 2026, American Vegan Society CEO Anne Dinshah and RowYak inventor Dan Shain will do a 26-mile RowYak marathon down the Delaware River to Go for the Animals. A RowYak is a two-person boat. One person rows while the other kayaks. Then you can switch. More importantly, it’s 26 miles for the animals. Every year, more than 80 billion land animals, and over a trillion fishes, are killed worldwide for food. Every mile fights cruelty. Every dollar helps save lives.Your donation supports the programs of the American Vegan Society and helps us share the knowledge, culture, and practical tools that make compassionate living possible. Please give per mile: $1, $2, or whatever you choose—to power Anne and Dan, as they pull for the AVS Team. More details, including the exact date and livestream schedule, coming soon. AVS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. EIN #226058533. Contributions are tax deductible when no goods or services are received. Contact us if you have any questions.
