As the G-P Wildcat Band starts preparing for the 2026-2027 marching season, we are excited to announce that our Wildcat Marching Band advanced to the Area Competition last year. We are incredibly proud of the efforts of our band and color guard. The G-P Wildcat Marching Band will have the opportunity to advance to the state competition this year. The Gregory-Portland ISD band program reached another milestone at the recent UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation, with all six middle and high school bands earning top honors for the second year in a row. The G-P Wildcat Band has the privilege of serving over 150 high school students and over 200 students at the middle school.&nbsp;In the past, G-P Wildcat Band Boosters have covered the gap between the director&#39;s budget and the actual costs of operating the G-P Wildcat Band. The only way this is possible is through donations from community partners like you.&nbsp;Gifts to the G-P Wildcat Band Boosters go to support every band student. These donations are used in many areas. Below are just a few:&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Funding scholarships (regardless of major)&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Purchasing music and copyrights for the marching show&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Covering the costs of specialized instructors for marching and the UIL concert season&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Building materials for props for competitions and half-time shows&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Providing meals and snacks during away football games and competitions&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Supplying bottles of water during the games and competitions&nbsp;The Tournament of Bands (TOB) on October 3, 2026, is the Band Boosters&#39; largest fundraiser of the year. With over 20 bands participating, this event attracts bands and families from all over the Coastal Bend, drawing over 1,000 attendees. We are excited to continue this tradition and hope that sponsors, such as yourselves, will partner with us to make this a great event and enable us to give back to the students.
