There hasn&#39;t been a grocery store in the neighborhood for 50 years, and vehicle access is a serious barrier to fresh, healthy food for many community members. Southside Community Farm is an urban farm and food hub bringing people together to create neighborhood solutions. Our programming supports land stewardship, free refrigerators, veggie box deliveries, home garden support, youth education, and more. As Black people and other people of color, our work celebrates our culturally important foods and land practices. Nothing brings people together like food, and together we are building a web of food sovereignty where community members have tangible power over the local food system.
