Keep Sherman’s History Warm Our Historical Society needs a new furnace/heating system, and our goal is to raise $18,000 to make it happen. This may not be the most glamorous project we've ever taken on, and a new heating system isn't quite as interesting as an old photograph or a piece of Sherman Area history, but it is essential. Reliable heat helps protect our building and the historical collections inside it from Maine's long, cold winters. It also allows the Historical Society to remain a welcoming place where people can gather, learn, share stories, research family history, and keep Sherman's past alive for future generations. Our goal: $18,000Every contribution brings us closer.$25 helps warm a corner. $50 helps preserve the past. $100 helps keep Sherman's history warm. $250 or more makes a major difference toward getting our new heating system installed. And here's another way to look at it:If 180 people give $100, we've reached our goal.Whether you grew up in Sherman, live here today, have family roots here, or simply believe that small-town history is worth preserving, we hope you'll help. The memories inside this building are irreplaceable. Let's make sure they have a warm and safe home for many Maine winters to come.Thank you for supporting the Sherman Area Historical Society and helping us Preserve the Past and Warm the Future.
