Help a Lebanese Mother and Her Son Find a Home Attention Asiyah Family! At the moment, we are trying to help a homeless mother and her son who are facing financial hardship. After facing abuse, both mental and physical, in their own home, this resilient family is attempting to break free, and it is our duty to support them to the finish line. Starting from scratch can be a tremendous hardship, and to know that people, mere strangers, have your back can be the very push one needs. This survivor is currently applying for a work permit to secure employment, and with your generous assistance, we know we can accomplish this. All additional funds will be used directly to supply her with groceries, clothing, hotel stays, and supplies to support her current living situation. As always, we could not do this without you, and every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference. A Mother of Seven We are trying to support a mother of seven (all under 11) after her husband abused and neglected her. Her husband is an imam who serves as a religious leader and is trusted by his community, but behind closed doors, he has a different side that nobody else sees except for his wife and children. He abuses his power to hurt his family. The helpless mother desperately escaped her nightmare. While she’s struggling to rebuild her life with her young children, the husband put up barriers that hinder her from community support and resources to move on from this nightmare. The mother is worried for her children’s safety, while the husband is trying to kick them off the streets. To get back on her feet and support her children, she publicly asked for support on a GoFundMe, but during the Jummah prayer, her husband accused her of lying and embarrassed her in front of the whole congregation. Sadly, she was unable to receive the help she needed. She’s all left alone with the pain that the abuser put on her. She has nowhere to go with her children, so she turned to Asiyah for help. The children are still too young to understand what their mother has to endure, and the pain their father caused. As they get older, they will hopefully understand the sacrifices their mother had to make for their safety. A child shouldn’t grow up in an environment where there’s abuse, toxicity, and fear from their father. Every mother deserves the chance to provide safety for their children and see them succeed in life. As always, we could not do this without your help, and every contribution, no matter the amount, could really help these families and change their lives.
