Bozeman Needs a New Skatepark — Here’s Why Kirk Park has been Bozeman’s only concrete skatepark since it was built 25 years ago. In that time, Bozeman’s population has MORE THAN DOUBLED — from about 27,000 to nearly 60,000 residents, with projections of 70k-75K in the next five years. That’s a lot more skaters, families, and kids sharing the same small space. To make matters even more urgent, the BYEP indoor skatepark was demolished this summer, leaving the community with even fewer safe places to skate. The demand for skate space has never been higher, and the time to act is now.Why Skateparks Matter

They give youth and families a safe, healthy place to gather.

Studies show skateboarding improves mental health, confidence, and creativity.

Cities with thriving skateparks see lower crime and stronger community bonds.

Skateboarding is now an Olympic sport, inspiring the next generation.

Our Goal We’re raising funds to build a new, modern skatepark in Bozeman — designed for skaters of all ages and skill levels, with features that reflect our community’s creativity.
