Most mothers in Albania leave the hospital without the breastfeeding support they need. When challenges arise in those first critical days, over half - 63% - stop breastfeeding earlier than recommended — not because they wanted to, but because skilled help wasn't available. Breastfeeding improves lifelong health for both babies and mothers, and research shows that expert support before birth, after delivery, and during the early weeks dramatically increases breastfeeding success. Your donation will fund a year-long breastfeeding program in Albania's two largest maternity hospitals, providing:

Bedside breastfeeding support from an experienced midwife for over 100 mothers every week.

Regular training and mentoring for doctors, midwives, and nurses, supported by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Evidence-based, personalized education for families before, during, and after birth.

Ongoing support after mothers return home through home visits and consultations online.

Together, we can help thousands of families give their babies the healthiest possible beginning.
