Update January 31, 2026 Levi's surgery was successful. He is alert, cooperative, and recovering. This moment brings us hope and gratitude, yet it is only one step along a longer road. We continue to pray for the months of healing ahead and for the next surgery, which will probably take place in about two months, followed by another season of recovery. In two months, he will need to go through the same procedure on his right hand. Another six months of recovery, the financial support needed for both surgeries, and additional funds required for the rehabilitation process that follows. A sudden fall left him with a fractured cervical spine. Paralysis. And yet—when you look at his picture (yes, that’s Levi smiling in the photo)—you see something extraordinary. Despite breathing through a tracheostomy, receiving 15 liters of oxygen every minute, and relying on tubes to drain fluid from his lungs, he still smiles. Because he believes. And this is what faith looks like: serenity in the middle of unimaginable hardship. When you speak with Levi’s father, his words are filled with gratitude: “God is great,” he says, marveling at the kindness and generosity they have already received. Now, with the air ambulance ready, all that stands between Levi and the treatment he desperately needs is the final support to make this journey possible. This is where we ask for your help. One more act of generosity can carry Levi toward hope, healing, and the future he still believes in. ___________________________________________________________Update September 11, 2025 Levi Needs Our Help—Every Hour Counts Levi suffered catastrophic injuries to his spine—vertebrae C2–C6 were crushed and partially severed his spinal cord. In the first few weeks after the accident, Levi endured multiple surgeries, spent days in a medically induced coma, and hovered between life and death. But—by God’s grace—he has shown extraordinary signs of recovery: he has regained his ability to swallow, can now breathe partially on his own without machines, has started speaking again, and can move his arms slightly. Although the medical prognosis remains guarded, we firmly believe in a God who loves Levi deeply and has a greater plan for his life. Sadly, there is no rehabilitation clinic in Romania equipped for his complex needs. Every passing hour works against his recovery. To give Levi a real chance, he must be transferred urgently to the Guttmann Institute in Barcelona, Spain, one of the best rehabilitation centers in Europe for severe spinal cord injuries. <img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/hxn9dbuhd/image/upload/v1757572184/wysiwyg/vdzyhqjcxmvp093xew6y.jpg" style="width:600px;display:block;vertical-align:top;margin:5px auto;text-align:center;cursor:pointer;padding:0px 1px;user-select:none;position:relative;box-sizing:inherit;max-width:100%" /> The cost for six months of critical treatment and rehabilitation is €211,961. This amount is urgently needed to cover:<ul><li>Life-sustaining medical care (ventilator, ICU care, and essential interventions)</li><li>Intensive rehabilitation and motor recovery therapy, giving Levi the best hope of breathing independently, regaining movement in his arms and—by God’s mercy—possibly his legs</li><li>Medium- and long-term recovery and care costs</li></ul>Levi can only be admitted once the full amount is paid to the clinic. Every day of delay causes irreversible loss—he has already been bedridden for six weeks, losing 2–3% of his muscle tone daily. Critical connections in the spinal cord can only heal within the first months after injury. We also believe that God often works His miracles through people—through the compassion, generosity, and prayers of a community united for a purpose. We don’t know if Levi will walk again—but we do know this: we will do absolutely everything within our power to give him that chance. On July 24, 2025, Levi fell and sustained catastrophic spinal injuries. At only 20 years old, Levi was joyfully preparing to marry his fiancée, Clara, this November. Instead, he is now facing the most difficult battle of his life. From the very beginning, doctors gave almost no hope. Levi’s injuries were at the highest vertebrae, threatening his ability to breathe, swallow, and sustain vital organ function. For weeks, he was unable to breathe on his own. The prognosis was bleak: permanent paralysis, perhaps even worse. But our God is a God of miracles. To everyone’s amazement—including his medical team—Levi has begun to show signs of progress. He has regained the ability to swallow, he can now breathe independently for up to three hours at a time, he has started to move his hands, and he can even whisper a few words. These may sound like small steps, but for Levi, they are giant leaps of hope. Right now, Levi urgently needs to be transferred to a specialized rehabilitation clinic where he can continue his therapy and receive the integrated care he requires. He still needs intensive medical support, and every hour matters. The hospital in Timișoara (Romania), where Levi has been in intensive care for over a month, is preparing to transfer him as soon as possible. His family is urgently seeking a clinic — whether in Romania or abroad — that can give Levi the best chance at recovery.
